The Key to Mystic Wisdom
(Kôhô, 2)

One
Question: What would be the effect of channeling Johrei to drugs which are then ingested by the patient?

Answer: It would be as if a thief were to wear a police officerfs uniform, completely unacceptable. If medicine that has received Johrei is ingested, the medicinal toxins will probably be stronger.
The issues of pharmaceuticals and medical science are quite distressing because when druggists and doctors become members of our church, they will have to quit following their profession.

Two
Question: Why is it when I put my feet in the kotatsu, they get itchy? I have suffered from neuralgia for many years now.

Answer: It is probably because toxins have fallen to the bottom of your feet. With Johrei, this condition will recover.

Three
Question: I would like to ask about the idea that women join the faith based on their six sense.

Answer: You should not assume such a thing. Women have a six sense, but they also have reason. But because the emotional aspect of women functions to a stronger degree, there are many cases where women join based primarily on their sixth sense.
Beautiful women have foreheads that are narrower, and Oriental peoples have foreheads that are narrower than Westerners. In many cases beautiful women are emotional, and Orientals are more emotional than Westerners.
The occipital region of the head is the center of emotions, and the forehead is the center of reason. Therefore, the back part of the head is more developed in women.
The forehead becomes feverish because a personfs reasoning powers have functioned above ability, so this area has partial purification. When this purification occurs, reasoning powers are weakened. In normal times, the forehead is always cooler, which is good. The link between the forehead and reasoning is probably why we put our hands to our foreheads when we think or ponder on something.
Intellectually-inclined persons tend to use only their reason, so there are many issues like faith that simply are not apparent to them, to which they are very insensible. That is why these people do not join the church right away.

Four
Question: It is said that laughter is paradise, so I would like to ask under what kinds of conditions does laughter occur in paradise.

Answer: Laughter occurs under the same circumstances in the spiritual world as it does in the physical world. Paradise is always full of the spirited sounds of laughter. Divine beings also laugh.
During the period when the church was having the problems with the authorities over taxes, I was concerned about how things were going, so I asked Kunitokotachi no Mikoto about it. At the moment I asked the question, he spontaneously possessed me and I laughed. God laughed. This is how I was informed that there was no need to worry about this problem.

Five
Question: Which is best for the world, capitalism or socialism?

Answer: Capitalism by itself will not do and neither will socialism. It is best when both are in balance, manifesting their good points. This is the middle way. This should be the main point of politics. Socialism caused the fall of the government several years ago.
Capitalists overvalue themselves, and both socialism and communism are like upside down pyramids. All these isms by themselves are unstable. The logic of communism appears fair, but in practice, it is quite unfair.
The Nazis started the control economy and they failed. Japan still runs a controlled economy, so you can understand why the brains of politicians are in such decline. As in cooking, the extremes of bitter and sweet should be mixed appropriately to create various types of delicious dishes.

Six
Question: I would like to ask about the relationship between the Thousand-Armed Kannon and Princess Otohime and about their relationship to our physical world.

Answer: Their relationship is as with uncle and niece by marriage. Princess Otohime is the wife of Susano no Mikoto, the younger brother of Amaterasu Ôkami.
Princess Otohime got hold of all of the worldfs riches and kept the treasure in the Dragon Palace. The Chinese ideogram for which the gotoh of Otohime is written is a pictorial depiction of the shape of a snake, so she is the Snake Princess. The gotoh of the ideogram for gsnakeh has the same vibration as the gotoh for gsound.h
When the Chinese ideogram for gsuh as in the word Sushin, God of Su, is written in freestyle with a brush, it can look like the ideogram for gstandingh and when the ideogram for gstandingh is put on top of the ideogram for gdayh or gsunh, it becomes the ideogram for gsound,h or in Japanese, goto.h  The gotoh of the ideogram for gsoundh has the same vibration as the gotoh of the ideogram for gsnake.h Princess Otohime stays in her residence and the world is dark. The Chinese ideogram for gdarknessh is the ideogram for gsound or gotoh within the ideogram for gate, a traditional metaphor for ghome.h When the ideogram for gsoundh or gotoh is put beside the ideogram gsoundh or goto,h it forms the ideogram for gdark.h
That which watches and protects the darkened world of Princess Otohime is Kanzeon.

Seven
Question: I would like to ask isnft onefs Johrei insufficient if one cannot question and answer a spirit.

Answer: It is best if you channel Johrei without preoccupying yourself with talking to spirits. If a spirit appears while you are channeling Johrei, then you should talk with the spirit and comfort it. The Johrei recipient will recover faster. If you do have to communicate with a spirit, though, be sure that you learn from it the following facts.
1.    Whose spirit is it?
2. Why is it possessing this person?
3. What does it want?
There are also ways to undertake spiritual investigations, but it is better not to know them. There are many instances of spiritual mediums for whom these are primary techniques, and various spirits possess these persons and drive them insane.

Eight
Question: I would like to ask what kind of sin is abortion.

Answer: Abortion is murder. An adult is quantitatively larger than a fetus, so there may be a difference of degree, but murder is murder. Therefore, birth control is also a sin.

Nine
Question: I gave birth to a child, but the father has not taken responsibility and stays away, so I am really in trouble. Should I take this to court and seek palimony compensation?
Would it be all right to submit this case to mediation by the family court?

Answer: How this situation is handled depends on how he reacts, his character, and the circumstances surrounding the situation. The best way to approach this problem cannot be determined in advance. But, if the man is malicious, it will be necessary to go to court and make a demand to force payment. Otherwise, if you calmly watch the situation, what you should do will become obvious.
Evil fears good people the most. To stand up to evil that makes trouble for others, to try to control and eliminate it, takes courage. Those who do not have the courage to do so are not genuine good people. The ideology of non-resistance is foolish, a sort of gpetty goodness.h India is an example. That which should be resisted should be resisted.

Ten
Question: Do the dreams we have when we sleep become true? Is this what is meant by the Japanese word gmasayumeh (gtrue dreamh)?

Answer: Dreams are the work of spirits. Dreams can involve foretelling what will happen in the future, remembering what happened in the past, or seeing what is happening in the spiritual world. When what happens in a dream comes true, that dream is called in Japanese, gmasayume,h that is, a dream that comes true.

Eleven
Question: The owner of the stone hut with the highest elevation on Mount Fuji wants to dedicate an image of the Tathagata of Divine Light in that stone hut. Would that be all right?

Answer: Kannon has a deep affinity with Mt. Fuji, so dedicating an image of Kannon on Mt. Fuji is a good thing. If a request is made and dimensions that would be appropriate for that space are given, I can make a special one for the hut. The image should be dedicated as soon as possible.
