  八百萬 神はメシヤの出でまさん よき時いかに待ち望みけむ
1  

The eight hundred
Myriads of gods have
So eagerly awaited
The good time when
Will appear the Messiah.

    主の神の 清き御眼に映るらめ 神人共に汚れありせば
2   In the pure eyes
Of the Creator
Will probably reflect
The stains of both
Human and divine beings.

よしやよし 神としへど審判の 来づれば罪は裁かるるらん

3   Unavoidably, even
Divine beings
Will be judged for
Their sins when
The judgment comes.

千萬の 神の善悪明さむと 我持つ光彌よ放たむ

4   The light I embody
Is being released
To clarify the
Good and the bad
Of the many gods.

Where, of the many
Gods worshipped
By various peoples,
Are the good and the bad.

6   This world of wickedness
Indeed, a reckoning there
Will be for those who have
Worshiped gods, not
Knowing they are evil.
