  荒れ狂ふ 火の海の中に毅然たり 厳めしくたつ神の館は
128

Dauntless
Within the fiercely
Raging fires
Majestically stands
The palace of God.

    禍の 起るは起るいわれあり 天地もものそのことごとは
129 Disasters and
Misfortune occur for
Specific grounds
As does every thing
In heaven and earth.

Evils occur,

Which has the exact reasons
Why they do;
This is true of all
And everything in the universe.

PG, PP, SD translation
Always there must be / Good reason for misfortune, / Because Divine Law / Governs everything there is / In heaven and upon earth.

Book of Gosanka translation
When misfortune comes, / There’s a reason why it comes; / It does not just come; / Each occurrence on this Earth / Happens, for it must happen.

忌はしき 現世の状忘らひて 飽かなくさまよふ地上天国

132 Strolling through paradise on earth
Without monotony, we are led to
Forget the conditions of the
Unpleasantness of the conditions
Of the present world.
