Great Construction

Opening Remarks (Chijôtengoku 10)

The following is an easy-to-understand explanation for the significance of the appearance of the Japan Kannon Church. Let’s suppose there is a large pond. We can see that it is overflowing with muddied waters. Into the muddied waters, pieces of alum are thrown. As the alum dissolves in the water, the muddied waters gradually clear. This phenomenon is akin to the appearance of the Japan Kannon Church.
As we have always said and continue to declare, that as a result of the age of night having continued for so long, the society of human beings has become so clouded, so defiled with such filth that from God’s perspective, it has come to the point where there is no place for a sure footing. This is the actual reality of our world. Into this situation has suddenly appeared the light of the Japan Kannon Church.
The evil forces that have freely manipulated human beings, at will throwing the world into confusion, are not the only ones to be amazed. The light of God, far beyond the dreams of humanity, has actually appeared. The power of demons will not only decrease, there is the danger that if they do not transform to good, they will perish forever. Even given these circumstances, at this point they will hardly be disposed to throw away evil and join the ranks of good. That is because the bugaboo called attachment stubbornly interferes.
As the Japan Kannon Church becomes more active, evil will seek to keep out and stop the light. The evidence for that is the censure, attacks, and malicious propaganda against the Japan Kannon Church. All problems having to do with the Japan Kannon Church are generated by this interfering activity, so those who clearly recognize this point should be in full acknowledgment.
