The Phrase, “Struggle Against Illness”
Divine Medical Science Fragments Two

There is no phrase so mistaken as “struggle against illness.” It is in error because it is based on the reasoning that illness is an enemy to be defeated. If patients possess even an iota of such a mental attitude, their illnesses will not readily heal. My followers should well know that illness and disease are the best vehicles for the maintenance of health which not only deserve appreciation but should be welcomed. The more individuals experience sickness, more so will they gradually get healthier and actually get sick less often. I have written this piece because I found in the testimonials of my followers, who ought to know better, the phrase, “struggle against illness.”
