Analysis of Toxin

In this chapter, I proceed to an explanation of toxin. Essentially toxin is what could be called impure blood. The fact that cloud generates on spirit, as related in the previous chapter, is due of course to sin and impurity. This view of sin and impurity has been a monopoly of religion since antiquity, but regretfully the way the subject has been discussed is simply to say that evil should not be committed because it will cause sin or impurity, so although such an approach might have served for ancient peoples who did not have knowledge, there is no way that people nowadays with their level of knowledge, both scientific or otherwise, will accept such a precept. Firm, irrefutable presentation with a systematic theory backed by evidence and proofs must be made.
Since this world is composed of spirit and substance, human beings as well are constituted of spirit and body. The two have an inseparable relationship. The unity of body and spirit is a law. So, when cloud on the spirit is reflected to the body, it becomes impure blood, and when impure blood is reflected to spirit, it becomes cloud. This relationship is the most important point that I would like to be kept in mind as this chapter is read. To start with spirit to body, the evil acts committed by human beings become cloud on the spirit. When that cloud accumulates to a certain extent, purification activity generates. This activity may be disease, calamity, or penalty by human law. Whatever has not been punished by human law will be punished spiritually by divine law. So, no matter how skillfully individuals are able to evade human law, because divine law is absolute, the penalty reflects to the body as great suffering. Of course, at these times, disease is malignant, and in many cases, the penalty extends to life itself. Thus, the sooner the penalty for evil has been paid, the lighter will be the degree of suffering, because as with a financial debt, interest accrues as long as the debt is not repaid. There are, however, those rare persons who evade the penalties of both human beings and God in the physical world, but with death, these individuals go to the spiritual world with the heavy burden of sin and fall to the lowest levels of hell, so even the most evil of existences have to repent. These circumstances are what is called in Buddhism the hell of interminable pain; in Shinto, the land of bottom roots; and in the West, purgatory, as described in Dante’s Inferno. Whatever tradition, there is no light, a world of only darkness and blackness, nothing visible, where spirits may remain hundreds and hundreds of years in a frozen condition. Described this way, contemporary peoples may find it difficult to believe, but in my studies of the spiritual world, I have heard directly on this topic from many spirits, and not one item is mistaken, so I believe these points should be given credence.
To return to the topic of reflection of cloud from spirit to body, as a result of performing evil acts, feelings of guilt occur, and the pain of these feelings of conscience are light purification. At this time it is sufficient if individuals repent, but if they do not, matters do not go so easily. Many times, other evil acts are continually repeated. Of course, with cloud, there are differences of great and small due to degree of sin, and the amount corresponds to the sin. Apart from these cases, there are “passive” sins as well. That is, when individuals have been caused to suffer, they are angry and bear a grudge, and those feelings are transmitted like an electronic wave through the spiritual cord to the spirit and body of the perpetrator, which become cloud. In contrast to this process, if individuals try to make others happy, perform acts of good, of virtue, the feelings of appreciation of the recipients become light and are transmitted to those who perform the good acts whose clouds are reduced by that much. The more individuals strive to do these good works in secret, not making them into a show, the larger becomes the divine reward. This is a strict law of heaven that cannot be evaded. The preceding is how the spiritual world works and is absolute truth, so there is no other way but to believe and follow the law. Since purification activity of cloud is the cause of disease and other calamities, if human beings wish to obtain happiness, they should cease performing evil acts, perform good acts, and strive to not cloud their spirits.
Next, I would like to write about the physical aspects of cloud. The impure blood that is the source of disease is of course caused by medicinal toxin. Pharmaceuticals come primarily from poisonous substances. This very mistake, that for the longest time these poisonous substances have been interpreted as something good, is due to the fundamental that disease is an activity of purification was not understood. Here I will write about my practical experiences with the fundamental truths of medicinal toxin. Even patients who have recovered from an illness through Johrei, may have a relapse after a while. We call this recurring purification, and the reason for recurring purification is that the Johrei in the first outbreak was able to dissolve the toxin causing that outbreak, so the patient improved for a time, and as the patient built up vitality through normal daily activity and work, that vitality generates further vigorous purification activity. In other words, through purification, health is attained, and because health is attained, purification occurs, which is repeated and repeated, and true health is gradually recovered.
Recurring purification is relatively severe with high temperatures and extreme coughing. These two symptoms result in the elimination of old, solidified phlegm which is why the elimination is of a high density with the smell of medicine. Of course, these symptoms are accompanied by other reactions such as poor appetite and weakened vitality, and rarely there are those who do pass away. According to the statistics to date, the percentages are for every 100 persons who have recovered completely with Johrei, 7 have passed away, so the remaining 93 persons have become healthy and at present are active.
The astonishing achievements of healing described above should be understood on the basis that most patients who come to us have already tried various means such as medical treatment, popular treatments, and faith healing, and still have not recovered. They are severe cases who only come to us when they are one step away from death, so these wonderful results are most likely impossible to believe. Even so, all seven failures described above died because the amount of medicinal toxin in their bodies was too great. Johrei is a way to eliminate medicinal toxin, so it is clear that health improves to the extent that the amount of medicinal toxin decreases. Thus, creating a Japan without tuberculosis is not that difficult. Total abolition of pharmaceuticals and encouragement of colds are two steps necessary to fulfill this goal.
The Creator has fashioned human beings to be the masters on this earth, so the ability to taste what is produced in sufficient quantities has been bestowed. Therefore, if what one wants to eat can be eaten with pleasure, health should be sufficiently maintained. Such bothersome contrivances as the science of nutrition are not necessary. Eating is like the sexual appetite as sex occurs not only to make other human beings but that new human beings are created while another purpose is being fulfilled. Thus, it has been determined that human beings should not put into their bodies foreign matter not designated as food. In other words, that which is without taste or else that which has a bitter taste has been made that way to indicate that it is not to be consumed. Because this principle was not understood, that proverbs since antiquity such as “good medicine tastes bitter” are egregious errors should be noted. Since the digestive functions are not designed to process that which been designated inedible, and as pharmaceuticals are a foreign substance, they are not processed but remain in the physical body and become the source of disease. Since this process is in great measure related to smallpox, it will be discussed in the next chapter.
