Great Construction

To All Members!

When introducing and explaining Johrei to members of the general public, there may be some followers of World Messianity who use language that could suggest denial of consulting medical practitioners, taking medicine, receiving injections, and rejecting other aspects of medical science. Such language contradicts the goals of World Messianity and in addition to resulting in our work being misinterpreted by society at large, also tarnishes the name of World Messianity. The point deserves careful attention, and I strongly urge all not to do or say anything that would imply a refusal of medical treatment.
Allow me a few observations on this matter. World Messianity is recognized as a juridical religious person for which it receives protection under the laws of Japan. Whereas freedom of religion is guaranteed, the laws of the nation should be respected, and I am sure that everyone understands what I mean when I say we must use the utmost caution not to use any language or action that infringes on the Medical Practitioners Law.
The Johrei method of World Messianity is based upon an understanding of disease that differs completely from that of contemporary medical science. If speaking or writing of the facts as facts is interpreted maliciously, what we say will be interpreted as a denial of medical science. This situation may appear at first glance to contradict what I said above, but not really. The Johrei method of World Messianity is a tremendous miracle, without parallel. Johrei is a manifestation of power that brings back to life people in grave conditions who had been forsaken by doctors. The administration of Johrei can be performed by anyone who has taken our course and received a sacred focal point. Even recipients who have doubt about our method are healed. Preaching is only secondary or tertiary in our work. The light of Johrei directly concentrates on and permeates the human soul to bring about repentance and reform. The more individuals the channel of Johrei saves, the more that person is endowed with God’s power. No matter how far away, no matter where, the same level of miracles can be obtained. Truly Johrei is infinite, absolute, the fountainhead of virtue, and manifests as such. Therefore, when speaking to others of the principles, pathology, and clinical aspects of World Messianity’s Johrei, there is no need to ignore the wishes of the persons with whom you are talking, to force them in any way. Stubbornly continuing to try to convince someone may appear to be earnest but I have been instructed by God that doing so is indeed a blasphemy against divine will.
Another important aspect of this issue to keep in mind is that as the time for the end approaches, there will be a rigorous judging of who is to be saved and who is not to be saved. So, if people listen to an explanation about World Messianity and do not show interest, if people turn their backs on the facts, if people do not understand even when shown the teachings, it could mean that either the time is not right for them, or that they are already fated to be among those who perish. If we keep trying to save one particular person, it will not only be merely wasted effort, it also will mean that others who should be saved will have their salvation delayed by that much. I urge you all to keep this point in mind as well.
When the situations where a problem has arisen are examined, each has resulted from shojo, narrow-minded faith. Obviously, the practice of such a faith impinges on the teachings to which I have just referred on salvation. A shojo faith is centered on the individual, so even a member, nay because the person of shojo faith is a member, persistence in a shojo faith leads to fewer if not no blessings at all. When all of us, in the face of any adversity, stay humble in our hearts, keep the love of God in our breasts, and seek to develop the power to distinguish good from evil, that is, to try to cultivate wisdom, we will realize even more deeply in the depths of our beings that there is nothing in the world for us to fear.
