Great Construction

Disease and Medical Science

I have listed conflict and disease as the two great sufferings that are the cause of anti-civilization, as described previously, but there is another great suffering, that of poverty. I do not say, however, that if the issues of conflict and disease are resolved, that the issue of poverty will be resolved naturally. To start with the cause of war, this is of course a mental or spiritual defect, disease of the heart or mind, so if the issue of physical disease of the body is resolved, the issue of the cause of mental disease and conflict will also be resolved.
Since disease, conflict, and poverty have the same source, as mentioned above, all that is necessary is to create truly healthy human beings, that is, persons complete in both spirit and body. Creating truly healthy human beings sounds extremely simple when expressed in these terms, but as anyone can imagine this task is indeed not easy. I declare, however, the task to be not impossible. I declare so because it has been revealed to me by God the way this task will definitely be accomplished. This task is my mission. The first step in accomplishing my task is this volume.
Thus, to address the issue of disease, there are two sides to disease, that of the physical body and that of the mental or emotional. At the mention of the word “disease,” that contemporary people think only of those of the physical body is a great mistake. Mentally and emotionally unhealthy human beings are the cause of conflict. Thus, as long as both the physical and the mental or emotional are not made to be as they should be, needless to say a truly civilized world will not appear. Such a world will be able to come about when the fundamentals and the methods for resolving the problem of health are understood and discovered. I have discovered these fundamentals and have been able to master the way it is possible that this problem be absolutely solved.
As a start to an explanation of the fundamentals, I begin by describing the reality of this planet earth where we live. Until now, learning has designated that all on this earth which has existence is only material substance. Everything else is nothing. But such kind of thinking is a tremendous mistake. What I will discuss is not nothing. For humanity, it is the most important and it certainly exists. Why this existence of nothing has not been understood until now is a result of complete dependence on materialistically-centered science. In other words, as long as the theory of material science has determined that what cannot be seen is nothing, no matter how much material science may be thought to have progressed, it has not been able to understand this fundamental. In other words, what material science is unable to understand, it buries in the darkness of denial. That very dogmatic way of thinking is a hardened prejudice that composes the brains of scholars. This is not a subject that requires much discussion. That the happiness of humanity has not accompanied the progress of culture is a fact. Let me advance my argument step by step.
Since the creation of a complete human being both in the mental, emotional aspects and in the physical body is true healing, when is investigated whether contemporary medical science has really progressed toward the goal or not, it is a fact that progress has not equaled the creation of complete human beings. On the contrary, contemporary medical science makes mistakes for which it is no exaggeration to declare that medical science creates disease and increases the number of sick people. To describe this problem in detail, first I examine the fundamental way of thinking of medical science up to date. As medical science does not understand the source of disease, it interprets everything opposite to reality. This is only inevitable as medical science has developed based on the standards of a materialistic science.
The result of medical science’s misinterpretation of the source of disease is that all its efforts are devoted to relieving the surface phenomenon of the pain. Thus, the progress of medicine is the progress of methods to temporarily mitigate pain, and the methods adopted for doing so is the use of substance such as pharmaceuticals, instruments, forms of radiation, and so forth. And yes, these therapies do relieve the pain of disease, so the mistake is made that the disease is thought to have been cured, and therapies for relief are continued, but actually, the mitigation of the pain of disease and the curing the disease differ fundamentally. That is, physical relief is only temporary, and curing is forever. Furthermore, the methods used to relieve pain themselves are a great problem since they cause disease and result in worsening the condition of the disease.
In any case, as this is materialistic medical science, it looks upon the human body as merely material substance and sees human beings and animals apart from human beings as the same. Because of this outlook, the search for the discovery of pathology is made using animals as research samples. Once in a while, some results are obtained, and immediately those results are applied to human beings. This is an extreme error. It is an extreme error because the form, essence, and content of human beings and animals differ completely, a difference that is not perceived. In accordance with this truth, it is rather obvious that study targeted on diseases of the human being must center on study of the human being. A healing science of human beings will be established no other way. Another point that must be understood at this stage is that animals do not have the amount of neural activity that human beings do, in fact it is quite predominate in human beings. Because human beings have this neural activity, not known is the extent that this neural activity influences disease. For example, when patients are informed they have tuberculosis, the damage to the nerves is great, and it is well known to medical personnel as well as members of the general public the extent that these people debilitate in front of the eyes. Readers will appreciate that such a phenomenon is not to be seen in animals.
When the above is considered, it must be apprehended that the defects of contemporary medical science, the research of only the physical and disregard of the facts that human beings consist of spirit and body and that the conception of human beings and animals as the same are major issues.
