Great Construction

Conclusion (Gospel of Heaven)

It has been my aim to explain thoroughly the fallacies of medical science as it exists today. What sort of impressions have my theories evoked? Readers were probably astonished.
It is only natural that human beings deeply desire the lengthening of that which they value the most, their lives, the extension the human life span by even one more day, as well as their health being made whole. Astonishment cannot be avoided that in spite of the fact that it was because of the methods of medical science that were supposed to fulfill those purposes that it was indeed those very methods that shortened the human life span and destroyed human health. My discovery presents an unprecedented and important question for the entire world. If this discovery had not been made at this time, one cannot help but shudder at how the future of all humanity would have turned out. The worst result is the destruction of humanity, and even if the results were not destruction and only the beginning of a great decline which could be discerned to a certain extent, a recovery from the grips of destruction would not be easy.
The preceding has been a future prospect of the population problem, but there are other dimensions that deserve investigation, those of conflict and hunger. As regards these problems, even though these issues have been exhaustively pursued by scholars ancient and modern, east and west, outstanding politicians, and intellectuals, the reality is that resolution is not even close. Resolution is far away because the fundamentals of the problems have not been addressed. I have discovered the means for resolution of these problems which I have described in this volume.
I would like this book to be carefully studied by readers because what I teach to explain the means for resolution have not been seen before. The fundamental cause for the outbreak of war are the individual characteristics of the composition of each nation-state. It is clear that the causes of almost all wars to date have been the machinations of the ambitions of heroes and feudalistic militarists, but the populations of each nation that are drawn into those machinations, endorse, and support them also deserve blame. Therefore, what first should be considered is an investigation into the characteristics of the populations that take pleasure in conflict. Needless to say, to not want peace is the sentiment to prefer conflict.
According to my discovery, the characteristic that prefers war comes down to discontent and a lack of love, the cause of which is a continual feeling of physical unpleasantness. When this unpleasantness is analyzed, there are passive causes and main causes. Impassive causes are the evil circumstances that happen to arise, and these are largely resolved over time. In spite of the fact that evil circumstances can be eliminated, everyone knows that the main cause of physical unpleasantness cannot be removed. Furthermore, even with the main cause of unpleasantness there is the threat that ordinary conditions can turn into evil circumstances. Those who continually utter complaints, regret, grumble, and such, are people who can produce such circumstances, and they have no self-reflection, so the causes of their complaints are apt to be interpreted apathetically. One sign of this is that it is easy for these people to hold a grudge, curse society, and fall into exclusionary concepts. That the misfortune of many individuals as the origin for communist thought is also to a certain extent their own fault or sin becomes overlooked, communism’s cause is attributed to social conditions, and problems are seen as something that can only be settled through conflict which is based on the unpleasantness felt by human beings. Of course communist thought is also due to the highhandedness of capitalists as well as a lack of love.
In this sense, the cause of conflict are the unpleasant feelings within each individual, and there will be no fundamental resolution without the removal of this unpleasantness. Resolution is only possible by the administration of our organization’s therapy. That is because the cause of this unpleasantness is medicinal toxin, and those with toxin continually undergo the generation of the purification function some place within their bodies which causes the unpleasantness. Even so, no one realizes why this unpleasantness exists. Some attribute the unpleasantness to their personality, and because they merely live their lives aimlessly in unpleasantness, they always have an aversion for others, are prone to anger, and knowing that it is evil still cannot help becoming engaged in conflict nor can they become diligent about matters that are not profitable for them—and these factors then become a source of discontent.
Thus, as we view the situation, there is no way to remove the cause of conflict other than by halting the use of medicines, that is pharmaceuticals, drugs, and by removing the medicinal toxin from those who presently possess it. Therefore, it can be understood why the fundamentals for the establishment of peace is the dissemination of our organization’s therapy.
In addition to that described above is the problem of poverty. On a lesser level, poverty is caused by the unhealthiness in mind and body of each individual. On a greater level, one cause is conflict but it should not be necessary to state that another cause is bad politics. Through the therapy of our organization, resolution of the problems of health, conflict, and poverty is possible. The appearance of paradise on earth illuminated by divine light is not a dream.
Herein lies the reason this volume has been titled Gospel of Heaven.

“Ketsuron” is the fifty-ninth chapter of Tengoku no Fukuin (Gospel of Heaven) but not the final chapter of the volume. “Ketsuron” is followed by an appendix of essays relating to spiritual matters that has its own ending which is titled “Sōketsuron” (“Comprehensive Conclusion”). “Ketsuron” was not anthologized while Meishu-sama was alive nor has it, as far as is known, appeared in translation. The Japan Kannon Church was started on August 30, 1947, with an inauguration ceremony being held on November 11, 1947. Tengoku no Fukuin was published on February 5, 1947.
