Epilepsy

As an example of a case of epilepsy, allow me to relate the account of a servant girl who worked in my household some ten-odd years ago. Hers is rather an interesting example. At the time we first met, whenever she experienced a seizure, she would lose consciousness and fall wherever she happened to be. At those times, her features were quite ghastly; her face, pale; and her lips, purple. She would bite her tongue, and blood flowed out of her mouth. She appeared no different from a dead person who had just been murdered. With treatment, her condition gradually improved, and she got to the point where her seizures came to be of insignificant degree. She did not lose consciousness, and there was only a small amount of accompanying unpleasantness. At this stage, when I radiated spirit to the deep recesses of her forehead, the possessing spirit would let out a cry, repeatedly moaning, “Help me!” I said to the spirit, “I will help you, so leave this body!” It replied, “I have no where to go.” What the spirit meant by “a place to go” was a human body. These cases are very difficult to deal with because such spirits cannot possess the bodies of complete strangers. Therefore, whenever I treated this girl, upon radiating the spirit to the front of the forehead, the spirit would move to the shoulders after about two or three minutes, then to the breast, and then to the stomach. Interestingly, if I were to press that part of the body with my finger, there were always lumps of toxins in those places. As a result of radiating spirit to the girl as if chasing after the fleeing spirit, the spirit shrank to an extremely small size, and the pain was temporarily alleviated.
The possessing spirit was an amalgamation of two spirits. One part was that of an infant baby born out of wedlock to the girl’s grandmother. Upon birth, the baby had been smothered to death. The spirit of this infant had been possessed by a fox spirit that had some kind of connection to the grandmother, and it was this amalagamated spirit that was causing the girl’s epilepsy.
