Great Construction
The Nonsense about Tuberculosis
Medical specialists and members of the general public who see the title and read this essay will either feel indignation, express contempt, or appreciate the argument. However, I only convey truth itself, so I leave that choice to the discretion of the reader. But, as truth is truth, there should be no doubt that whether it be a few years or several decades, there will be no person who does not recognize and praise what I state here.
To get to the topic, the early detection of tuberculosis has recently come to be encouraged, and the only method for that detection is a tuberculin injection test. No reaction to the test is called negative, and if the injected area becomes red and puffy, the reaction is called positive. It is held that for those with positive reactions, there is a danger of developing tuberculosis within half a year, and thereafter test injections are conducted once a month. After a half a year without any abnormalities, monthly injections are stopped, but in the meantime injections every three months are recommended.
During the first six months of testing, warnings against extreme activity are given. It is further advised that if these cautions are not observed there is the danger of the onset of tuberculosis, so I would like to examine whether the interpretations of medical science are appropriate or not. Before doing so, I will explain my research and announce the results of that study for which I am sure the pros and cons of the issue will become clearer.
The divine spiritual healing that I expound and advocate holds that sickness and disease are a process of purification activity which generates naturally, and not even tuberculosis is excluded from this process. The fact that a tuberculin test is negative in the beginning is because physical vitality has weakened and the body does not have the energy to purify. On the contrary, the fact that the injected area swells up in a red color is because the energy for purification is robust. That is, the reason the area puffs up in a red color is because a foreign substance was injected into the body and a protective process generates in order to prevent that foreign substance from invading the body further. This protective process concentrates blood in the region around the foreign body and starts the fight against the foreign body. As a result, the toxicity of the foreign body is weakened and harm from the invasion attempts is evaded.
The preceding concerns negative reactions in the beginning, but with repeated injections, the negative reaction changes to a positive one. Medical science refers to this as positive conversion, and there are two possible reasons for this change. When the injected amount of the foreign substance is small, there is not much reason for the body of a weakened person to react and purify, but when the amount is great, it is only natural that generating sufficient purification activity to defend the physical body is required. The infallible process by which nature protects the human body is apparent.
Every human being without exception possesses various kinds of both congenital and acquired toxin within the body. Both kinds of toxin ordinarily solidify in various regions of the body, but once purification is generated, dissolving of toxin begins. Of course, at this time, symptoms of the early stages of tuberculosis such as fever, coughing, pain in the joints, and poor appetite present. With these actions, the toxins in the body are eliminated and the body becomes healthier, so the generation of purification is a great blessing from God to be greatly welcomed. Medical science, however, interprets these symptoms in an opposite way. Medical science fears these symptoms as disease and a threat to health and to suppress them applies excessive measures. In other words, medical science aims to harden toxin that has just begun to dissolve. As this is what medical treatment is, we can understand how mistaken medical science has been until now.
Allow me to explain these mistaken ideas in further detail.
The function of the lungs is, as previously described, to absorb toxin that having solidified in various regions of the body has dissolved through fever into liquid. Soon after entering the lungs toxin becomes phlegm and is then expelled outside the body. During this process, coughing acts as a pumping function to pull phlegm up and out of the lungs which is obvious from seeing how after coughing, phlegm is necessarily expelled. In this way, impure substances within the body are cleansed, and as a result health is increased, so nature has indeed been skillfully created to maintain the health of the human body.
Once the preceding principles have been understood, there is no way we can talk about a condition called disease of the lungs. That is because as described above, the lungs have the function of being what could be called a temporary way station for the elimination of toxin within the body. Medical science does not understand this principle and interprets the temporarily stored phlegm as originating within the lungs itself. Thus, crackles are identified when diagnosis is made, but crackles are only the reverberation of phlegm in the breathing process and are mistaken for symptoms of disease for which medical science takes measures to solidify the remaining phlegm. These measures include rest, drugs, compresses, therapeutic hypothermia, and so forth. Put plainly, medical treatment strives to stop toxin that has come to the organ of the lungs which is a midpoint for impurities in the cleansing and eliminating processes and aims to solidify the toxin so it cannot be eliminated. Due to this treatment, highly dense phlegm appears as cloud on x-rays and the condition is diagnosed as tuberculosis. The above describes tuberculosis as it actually is.
To conclude from the preceding, it would not be in error to say that medical science indeed creates tuberculosis. Nothing is probably as frightening. No matter how much time may pass, cases of tuberculosis are not likely to decrease, and rather, the fact that there is a tendency for the number to increase is, as just explained, because of mistaken interpretation, so medical science continues to produce great amounts of tuberculosis. Concerning this, an article with lines like the following appeared in the Hōchi Shinbun, published December 11, 1949. “When we look at the statistics regarding the present tuberculosis situation, for every thousand of the total number of deaths, death from tuberculosis was 94 cases in 1918; 98 cases in 1932; and during the war the number greatly increased to 141 cases; and last year [1948], 151 cases.”
What particularly deserves attention here is that infection from tuberculosis bacilli is feared, and these days a great amount of money is thrown at tuberculosis in general. Civilian and official authorities together put their total weight behind tuberculosis prevention, all of which is greatly mistaken. As I have shown above, in the first stages, there are no tuberculosis bacilli. Even though phlegm does not contain bacilli, if nothing is eliminated, the longer toxin remains within the body and solidifies, eliminating it does become more difficult, but within the human physical body is body temperature that provides favorable conditions for slight fever within the entire body, so it is only a matter of course that the older the phlegm, tuberculosis bacilli will generate naturally as a matter of course. Because this is another example of the error of medical science creating and cultivating tuberculosis, in this respect, Pasteur’s theory of bacilli natural generation denial is completely erroneous.
At this step, one point which cannot be overlooked is that when the result of a tuberculin test is positive, the patient is warned against contracting tuberculosis, but such caution leads to reverse effects. With this one caution, it is as if patients had entered the gates of hell and their future is attacked by anxiety. Of course, on account of this warning patients fall into depression due to activity of the nerves, experience a loss of appetite, insomnia, and their nervous system as a whole weakens. Some contract neurological tuberculosis, and there are even individuals observed who lose their lives.
In addition, the reason extreme labor after a positive result is admonished is because purification vitality generates which is contrary to medical science’s treatment goal of solidification. Swimming is particularly cautioned against. This is why. In activities such as swimming, for example, as one kind of physical action is continually repeatedly, toxins easily accumulate in one specific area which is quite understandable when a professional swimmer’s body is examined. In one part of the shoulder, a lump about the size of an egg can be seen which results from fever that has begun through the generation of purification activity, presenting with the symptoms of early-stage tuberculosis.
As I have described, tubercular bacilli generate naturally and are not transmitted. In dealing with several thousands of persons until the present, I have not taken any particular measures against germs, rather I have encouraged them to transmit, but as is clear from the fact that not one person has become infected, I do believe that simply knowledge of this one fact is great salvation.
I present this essay to the authorities concerned and to medical specialists. My continuing hope is that the ignorance concerning tuberculosis be lifted as soon as possible.

“Kekkaku Nansensu” was originally published in the magazine, Chijōtengoku, Issue 12, January 20, 1950. Although no translations are known to exist, this essay was reprinted in the anthology Igaku Kankei Goronbun Shū (Collected Essays on Medical Science), page 454, that did enjoy a limited circulation. Igaku Kankei Goronbun Shū contains no publication data, but internal evidence suggests that its editing stopped several months preceding Meishu-sama’s Ascension. Furthermore, since the book lacks publication data, whether the volume had Meishu-sama’s imprimatur or not is unknown, so details concerning this volume are probably impossible to research.
