Fortune Can Be Changed At Will

When things go adversely for a man, he is apt to submit to it as inevitable. He takes it for granted that fortunes of man are beyond human control. I believe, however, that man’s fortune can be greatly changed at will. It is created to some extent by himself. One may be hopeful, therefore, in this regards.
It is a common craving of man to achieve good fortune, and most people are trying hard to attain this goal, even risking their lives in some cases. However, the true state of things is that very few people can become really happy. The majority of people after trying all means to become happy, finally find themselves at a loss as to what to do until at last they come to the end of their lives. What a hopeless world it seems to be, then!
Seeing a few instances in which some people seem to have really grasped good fortune, the public continues the never-ending search without abandoning hope. Some consider human life as the endless pursuit of happiness which can never be reached.
However, should there be a real method by which one can be truly happy, it must be wonderful. Since few seem to know what it is, they make themselves unhappy, creating an imaginary jail in which they confine themselves and thereby agonize. What is this method then? The simple expedient of sowing the seeds of virtue. It is proverbially said, “One must reap what one has sown.”
All sowing is not necessarily virtuous. Some seem to be sowing the seeds of evil. This means the deeds based upon an egoistic way of thinking such as afflicting others or inflicting losses upon others for the benefit of oneself. The seeds of virtue means the deeds based upon the altruistic love such as trying to make others happy or to give benefit to others without regard to one’s own benefit or happiness. In short—altruism. Very simple and easy—you may think. But not necessarily so. However, there is a way to make this simple—Johrei. The Divine Light of God purifies the spiritual body and adds spiritual fortitude to the mind lifting it thereby. To put one’s mind in such a state as to believe in the above principle and stick to it, you must have faith.
You who are suffering misfortune thru adverse circumstances, we invite you to better your state by receiving the blessings of Johrei.
